It’s not for corporate types, and it’s not for gearheads. It’s for normal people, like you!
He had us at hello. David Pogue did a couple of segments on CNBC showing off Peek this week — we think he might understand us better than we understand us. It can only be true love.
You can watch Power Lunch or you can watch Your Digital Life. Or you can see the version of the segment they did for the New York Times videos. (It has a nifty behind-the-scenes thing going on.)

Make Peek work with corporate e-mail servers (*cough* Exchange *cough*), and I think you’ll be amazed at the results. I’m a hard-core techie, but have resisted joining the Blackberry and iPhone fray because I like small-ish bar phones for voice, and an ultra-mobile laptop for e-mail. I’ve been holding out hopes that Apple will eventually come out with a Nano-based iPhone, because the existing version — while cool — is still way too big and bulky for it’s primary purpose. But the form-factor and pricing of the Peek look pretty compelling to me, and I love the fact that it’s a stand-alone device that doesn’t try to be all things to all people. I’ll take one…as soon as you can link it to my Exchange server (without needing to resort to POP or IMAP).
Regards,
Steve

Or – for us non-techies, just set up a “rule” (that’s what they call it in Groupwise) to forward your office email to a free Hotmail, Yahoo or Google account and pick your work email up that way!
