I'm a hard-core techie, but have resisted joining the Blackberry and iPhone fray because I like small-ish bar phones for voice, and an ultra-mobile laptop for e-mail. I've been holding out hopes that Apple will eventually come out with a Nano-based iPhone, because the existing version -- while cool -- is still way too big and bulky for it's primary purpose. But the form-factor and pricing of the Peek look pretty compelling to me, and I love the fact that it's a stand-alone device that doesn't try to be all things to all people. I'll take one...as soon as you can link it to my Exchange server (without needing to resort to POP or IMAP).
