The picture says it all. Our gizmo was just named Wired #1 gadget of 2008.  We didn’t intend to make Peek for techies, but even techies understand the power of simple. We just purchased a bunch of copies of Wired for Peek HQ NY and we are very excited to have this honor. Wired #1 gadget of 2008, Time Inc. gadget of year, Oprah’s gift guide, Good Morning America, USA Today; we are starting to blush over here……

We are still buzzing around the office after being named number one gadget of 2008 by Wired and now Fortune Magazine has published that we are one of their most affordable gizmo’s for 2008.  With a name like “Fortune” we are surprised they even have an “affordable gadget section” but Fortune knows a good deal when they see one and we promise to stay away from credit default swaps and complex financial instruments and just stick to making email on the go easy for everyone.

Peek Crash Test Pilots Wanted!

We are still working on the details but basically you’ll get access to the new services and features that are in alpha/beta stages. They will be inherently unstable while we work out the kinks, but as a Peek Crash Test pilot you already knew that.

Microsoft Exchange and Peek - It can be done!

Peek doesn’t have native MS Exchange support yet, but that does’nt mean that our Peek system can’t access your Exchange email.  The first thing you’ll need to do is find out if your Exchange Server is setup with POP3 access (SSL/No TLS).  If it is, chances are we can access your Email right now! Now, if it’s not enabled, you are going to have to talk to your IT department and have them enable POP3 access.

Now once you convince the IT department to enable POP3, they need to set it up so it does not use TLS.  Basic authentication is the best way to set it up initially and then we can enable SSL for extra safety. Take a look at the screenshot to help guide your IT department.  After your MS Exchange is setup with POP3 access all you need to do is call our customer care at 1-877-677-7335 and give them your POP3 domain and SMTP server settings (which you should also get from your IT department) and then they will have you add your MS Exchange email account to your Peek and that’s it.

We have enabled a bunch of customers so give it a try! We can work with your IT department to help you get POP3 going.
