Free yourself. The Peek bargain disappears Monday

Don’t chain you or your friends to a contract for a big, honking smartphone this year.
Instead, free them to be connected on the go and free of contracts with Peek!
Just a reminder — the November bargain on Peeks ends Monday.

Woah. You can’t post a picture like that without some kinda explanation!
What happened here?
Can do that, too in exchange for a Peek t-shirt and a free month of service?

The Peek intrigues me. Love the concept. One question. I want to buy one for my text-obsessed 11-year-old who borrows my blackberry to text and who is begging for a cell phone for Christmas (so she can text; she rarely uses the phone). My question is this: if she texts back and forth with someone, is it as instantaneous as a cell phone? I saw on the web site that peeks update your email every 5-15 minutes, which is fine when receiving an email but kind of defeats the purpose of engaging in a text dialogue in real time….For her endless back-and-forth texting sessions with friends, is this the right device?

I think that it is a great idea, however, I am not a big fan of carrying around a phone and an email device. I do agree that contracts are not the way to go but with my work discounts, my BlackBerry is only $22 a month more a month with the full plan. Put a phone on the peek and it would be awesome!

im sorry but i really dont think that this peak thing is any new idea at all…i mean we already got this in our phone…my cell got all of these plus an actual cell phone..i mean i would think about it if the subscription was $5/month but $20!!! excuse me thats a rip off..im with tobile and i get this service for 5.95 extra which include internet. and then the device is $100!! i dont see anything but a rip off,i mean its not even a new concept , all they are doing is remarketing an idea that already exist and that we already carry in our cell phones.i can easily see this product going out of business in less than 18 month. My advice, think of something more creative to make money
