What a deal

Hey, we read the newspaper. These are tough times out there and people are looking for ways to save money.

We think a lot about ways to make Peek an even smarter value that’s also simple to use and super stylish. That’s why we made it such a low cost device to buy, with no contract obligation, and a tiny monthly fee.

But in our quest to make it a better and better deal…we decided to give one of our customers’ interesting suggestions a whirl. We’re just another one of those high-tech, fast-moving companies, I guess.

Amol, Peekster-in-Chief

Update: After 24 hours, boy oh boy did people like that “Peek for Life”! Well, we want you to be Peeksters for life too! We think the low, low up front price of $79 with no long term obligations is a great deal. Did you know you get a big discount if you buy a year of the service fee up front? 12 months for the price of 10. But we are going to keep looking for ways to save Peeksters money!

  3. I’ve longed for email but not the monthly fees… So long as my NEW peek lasts 10 months then I’ll make even… What an amazing deal, I’m tempted to buy another one for my wife.

  4. My son finally reached me this morning, just before I bought a new alpha pager, to let me know about your peek device and the terrific offering of ulimited service for $300. I have recently learned that our office is discontinuing the communication system it has had for our pagers and going strictly to using Outlook Express to communicate with us in the field. Most of the agents in our company use cell phones for incoming written communications from the office, and therefore receive text messages on them, but I have always preferred a pager, and your Peek sounds perfect for receiving and sending just e-mails! The ability to send e-mail makes it even more useful than the pager system I’ve been used to using.

I tried to reach you by phone, but found you are not answering on the weekends, but I really hope your offering will be effective now, too.

Please e-mail me or call me. My e-mail address is shown above, doraleetaylor@gmail.com. My home number, in case someone is receiving this today or tomorrow is the best way to reach me, (757) 397-2222, or on Monday, (757) 625-2580, x205.

Please, please extend your special January 16th offering, and I will surely buy your product and that service!

    Sincerely,

    Dora Lee Taylor

  5. Amol,
Saw the unlimited deal yesterday. I was very tempted(almost pulled the trigger), but don’t want to carry around two device. If you could offer per minute calling for emergencies/short conversations(say 20 cent/min) on the device plus the lifetime email/text service you would have another customer. I realize this would probably have to be a new device , but please keep this in mind when you develop the peek’s successor. I really want to buy a peek, but won’t until I can carry just one device.

  6. Just a bit of advice–

Your advertising says it works ‘anywhere’ which is in fact, not true. Even allowing that ‘anywhere’ is only the US, there are thousands of square miles where peek doesn’t have service.

    A moot point?

Maybe. But as you know, the law has no sense of humor.

In the states of Arizona and Wisconsin (the only ones I know for sure,) such a statement qualifies as “false or misleading advertising.”

Those legal fees sure can eat up your profits in a hurry
